Entering the first bend, Luke Morris, the rider of the free running Mabo (GB), unplaced, had to take a check between Toolmaker (GB), unplaced, and Dancing Jo (GB), placed third, which in turn caused Oisin Murphy, the rider of Kodiline (IRE), unplaced, and Levi Williams, the rider of Master Rocco (IRE), unplaced, to take a check, but after interviewing Luke Morris and viewing the available recordings of the incident, it was not possible to apportion blame to any individual horse or rider.
Exiting the first bend, Master Rocco (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Levi Williams, ran onto the heels of Kodiline (IRE), unplaced, causing Williams to take a check, resulting in Liam Keniry, the rider of Harlequin Rose (IRE), placed fourth, having to steady his mount, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Luke Morris reported that Mabo (GB), unplaced, ran too free and Liam Keniry reported that Harlequin Rose (IRE), placed fourth, was denied a clear run.
The Veterinary Officer reported that Kodiline (IRE), unplaced, was lame on its right hind.
