The Raceday Stewards interviewed H. Morgan, rider of Potters Party, concerning his use of the whip in closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. H. Morgan accepted that he was in breach of R10 and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that H. Morgan was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency)and having considered his record in this regard they suspended him for one raceday
D. King, rider of Nancy Miles, trained by E.Sheehy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel and this was subsequently confirmed by the IHRB Veterinary Officer.
