Aranleigh takes Punchestown opener
His jumping kept him right in the race. He seems to be an excellent jumper. He idled a bit in front today. From what he shows at home, there's a lot more to come but he has to prove that in public now. He will probably go to Leopardstown at Christmas next. He's improved from Wexford but to be at the top level he'll have to improve again but I think he might. His pedigree suggests he's a two miler but they all say he's a stayer.
Sizing Europe makes it a hat-trick of wins
Blueberry Boy wins for Stafford
He did it well, he runs best when he's fresh and he loves it around here that's his fifth winner here. He doesn't take a whole lot to get him ready he's an exceptional horse in that respect. It only takes two gallops to him ready. Conor thinks he's better than a handicapper, he's had a few setbacks but hopefully he's back to his best. We will look for a graded race over the Christmas for him. He just gets two miles but on that performance he might get further but I have my doubts we'll just take it day by day with him.
Jered gets off the mark
He always was good horse he just lost his way a bit and we didn't know what was wrong with him. He was hanging in Cheltenham and Aintree and when he came back he just wasn't right. He had a small operation on his hind legs and it seems to have straightened him up. He has improved a lot from his first run. Paul said he dived at the third but after that he was brilliant.
Solwhit impresses at Punchestown
He was impressive there. If we weren't going to beat Hurricane Fly today we never were. My lad doesn't take a lot of work to get him right. I was delighted with the pace of the race and he loves coming between horses. He's entered in the Fighting Fifth and that's in two weeks time which is a problem. If he doesn't go there we'll wait and run him over the Christmas.
Flood wins aboard Air Chief
Mullins completes Punchestown double
He's a good horse, he's not overly big but he's really tough. We might go for the Cheltenham Bumper, we'll school him first and see how he jumps. I won't ask him to carry a penalty in a winner's race. He seems to like that sort of ground. He just wasn't ready the last day he ran at Fairyhouse and I was raging with myself.
