An enquiry was held to consider why George Margarson was running Spirited Guest (GB) here at Ascot on going described as Good to Firm, having declared the gelding a non-runner at Goodwood on 1 August 2020 on ground with the same official description.
The trainer stated that in his opinion, the going at Goodwood was quicker than described and was happy for Spirited Guest (GB) to take its chance today on a flatter track with a slightly easier going.
