Permission was given for Kolossal (GER) to go to post early wearing a red hood, for Sea Theme (IRE) to wear a red hood to post and for Queen Of The Pride (GB) to wear a hood in the parade ring.
Approximately two and a half furlongs out, a weakening Sea Theme (IRE), placed sixth, was briefly tightened for room between Lady Boba (GB), placed third, which edged slightly right-handed and Novus (IRE), placed fifth, which lugged left-handed, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Lady Boba (GB) nor Novus (IRE).
Following the race, Luke Morris reported that Tiffany (IRE), placed second, slipped rounding the home bend and Tom Marquand reported that Sea Theme (IRE), placed sixth, also slipped rounding the home bend.
