An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the final furlong when Steel Tiger (IRE), placed second, ridden by Jack Mitchell interfered with Grebastarky (FR), placed fourth, ridden by Kieran O’Neill and Alnayef (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Benoit de la Sayette.
Mitchell was suspended for 7 days for careless riding as he allowed his horse to drift right-handed without timely correction, taking O’Neill slightly off his intended line before causing de la Sayette to become short of room and clip heels.
Following the race, Benoit de la Sayette reported that Alnayef (IRE), unplaced, hung left-handed under pressure and Jack Mitchell reported that Steel Tiger (IRE), placed second, hung right-handed.
