Levins and O'Connor strike again at Naas
He got a lovely clever ride from Donagh and did it well in the end. The next meeting here is in three weeks so I have half the yard penciled in to run!
Cashel the Star at Naas
He'd a good run in Leopardstown and hopefully he'll go forward from here. He's in again at Roscommon on Tuesday so he'll probably go there.
Kassaba leads home 1, 2 for Weld
She's a half-sister to Kastasa but I don’t think she will be staying quite as far as her. We'll see how she comes out of the race but she's a filly you would hope to be getting black-type with at some stage during the year. She's a big filly and has grown so we weren’t in any rush with her. I'd imagine she will probably be going over ten furlongs next time. The ease in the ground certainly wasn't a hindrance to her. The second is also a nice filly. She is beautifully bred and we thought she'd run well.
Stack and Hayes double up with Meaningful Vote
He’s improving and was probably a bit weak last year. He’s an idle horse and Conor Maxwell has done a good job with him. He rides him in all his work and rode him in his last two races but unfortunately couldn’t ride him with the weight.
Even So battles gamely to land Oaks Trial
She's as game as a pebble. She came out of the Guineas in great form. She doesn't show an awful lot but is one of those fillies that brings it to the racecourse and Colin said she was even a little bit fresh in his hands. The plan was always to go for the (Irish) Oaks as we know that (trip) is exactly what she wants. Fingers crossed she thrives after this and with a little bit of cut in the ground that is where she goes.
