Art Power made it four wins in-a-row as he impressively dismissed his seven rivals in the Group 3 Coolmore Sioux Nation Lacken Stakes.

The first UK trained runner to win in Ireland since the resumption of racing, the Tim Easterby trained colt was last seen landing a handicap in convincing style at Royal Ascot just over a fortnight ago.

Sent off the clear 4/6 favourite this afternoon, the Dark Angel grey raced prominently on the outside, coming with his effort from the two furlong pole.

He was ridden to challenge the front-running Millisle with a furlong left to race and soon got to the front, keeping on well in the closing stages to score by two and a half lengths.

The aforementioned Millisle (9/4) had to settle for second under Shane Foley, while Mick Halford's Zarzyni (40/1) was a further four and a half lengths back in third.

Colin Keane, who was earlier successful on Even So said: "He's a lovely horse, very relaxed and the minute you pick him up he's very sharp. It's like putting your foot on an accelerator. I'd say he’s a horse with a big future.

"We were borderline between the last meetings ground and today and it was the freshest ground I could find. He was a big help to me - he was very straight forward.

"I'd love to have been drawn beside Shane (Foley on Millisle) but he put his down and stretched right up to the line.

"He felt like a Group 1 horse - very sharp, a lot of speed and a great mind to go with it for a sprinter especially. I’d say he’ll keep progressing."
