Page Fuller, the rider of Breaking Waves (IRE), had fallen on the approach to the bend past the winning line on the first circuit.
The rider was interviewed and shown recordings of the incident.
It was found that no other horse or rider was involved and was caused by Breaking Waves (IRE) slipping on the approach to the bend which caused Fuller to become unbalanced and fall from the gelding.
Following the race, Jonathan Burke reported that Doctor Dex (IRE) made a bad jumping mistake at the fifth fence and he pulled the gelding up shortly thereafter and Richie McLernon reported that As You Like (IRE), unplaced, slipped on the bend past the winning line on the first circuit.
