The Stewards interviewed C. Brassil, rider, in relation to him jumping a hurdle on the way to the start. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that the reason this occurred was that he allowed his mount to jump a hurdle rather than turn her sharply left when leaving the chute. He accepted however that he was in breach of the rule and apologised for his actions. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards found the rider in breach of Rule 205 (ii) and having taken his record into account, severely cautioned him
