Mullach Na Si claimed a moderate contest in decent style, despite carrying his head high in the closing stages.

To the fore throughout he went on and stretched his rivals on the turn for home.

Davy Condon had to sit tight at the last as he made a mess of things but it failed to halt his momentum.

Youbetterbegood had failed to show much on his hurdling debut at Wexford last Monday but stepped up significantly.

Tracking the leaders he was still travelling well before the turn. He kept on to go third approaching the second last where pecking after the flight. He never looked likely to peg back the winner but it was an encouraging performance.

Rudi's Elegance chased the leaders throughout and was ridden into second approaching the third last. She could make no impression on the winner, however, and was one paced afterwards.

It was a similar story with Hopeful Choice, who came under pressure before the turn and kept on at the same pace.

Keskesay had shared front-running duties with the winner but came under pressure after the fourth last and soon had no more to offer, keeping on one paced.

Spring Wine jumped sketchily in the early stages while Secret Shared made a few mistakes before trying to duck out and unseating his rider four from home.

Urban Spirit was a non-runner due to a stone bruise.
