The Stewards noted two incidents of interference inside the final furlong, in the first incident, Princely (GB), unplaced, hung right-handed, shifting Golden Dragon (IRE), unplaced, onto a weakening Sound Of Iona (GB), unplaced, causing Paul Mulrennan to ease his mount.
In the second incident shortly after, as Give 'em The Slip (GB), placed fifth, went for a run to its outside, Camachess (IRE), placed sixth, shifted right- handed despite the riders best efforts, moving Give 'em The Slip (GB) off its intended line and in turn, moving Princely (GB) off its intended line which caused the rider of Golden Dragon (IRE) to check off its heels and subsequently move Gustav Graves (GB), placed eighth, slightly off its intended line, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of GIVE ‘EM THE SLIP.
Following the race, Jack Mitchell reported that Princely (GB), unplaced, hung right-handed throughout.
