The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages of this race involving Nothing To Lose, ridden by A.J. Slattery, placed first and Cyrus Dallin (GB), ridden by K.K. Hennessy, placed second, where it appeared that Nothing To Lose drifted towards Cyrus Dallin (GB). Evidence was heard from the riders concerned, A.J. Slattery's in the presence of John C. McConnell for whom he rode. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judges placings and took no further action
