The first-time blinkered Offaly recorded his first win in well over a year when staying on far to strongly for Tasman, who attempted to make all. Another positive sign for the Meade stable, his trainer reported afterwards that the blinkers were a plus in keeping him straight and that the Oscar gelding has a preference for going right-handed.

Tasman jumped for fun, in comparison to the winner who was a bit more careful, but the writing was on the wall as the winner cruised alongside under a typically confident Paul Carberry two out.

A career best from Mansefield who stayed on well under pressure from three out. He's shown precious little since a Punchestown bumper winner four years ago but this holds out definite hope for the future, while Quarryfield Lass was also putting in her best work at the finish.

Rory's Pleasure still held every chance on the heels of the leaders when falling heavily three out, while La Marianne is entitled to get a chase mark and may win a minor handicap.
