An enquiry was held to consider why Tom George was running Cruiseaweigh (IRE) here at Warwick on going described as Good, having declared the gelding a non-runner at Warwick on 25 April 2019 on ground with the same official description.
The trainer stated that after walking the track this morning, in his opinion, the going at Warwick today is not as fast as it was at the previous meeting and after sufficient watering to the course, he is willing to take his chance and run Cruiseaweigh (IRE) on the Good ground here today.
Following the race, Adam Wedge reported that GRANIA O’MALLEY (IRE), placed fourth, lost its confidence having made several jumping errors early on the final circuit and Jonathan Burke reported that Cruiseaweigh (IRE), which was pulled up, lost its action and the Veterinary Officer reported that a post- race examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities.
