The performance of Taawfan (IRE), which started favourite and finished unplaced, was considered.
It was noted that Owen Burrows could offer no explanation for the filly’s performance other than a report from the rider that Taawfan (IRE) moved poorly and hung left-handed under pressure in the straight.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination, during routine testing, failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Following the race, James Doyle reported that Special Secret (GB), which finished last of the seven runners, ran keen and hung left-handed.
