The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Chelkar (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be coughing post race and furthermore to have pulled a right fore shoe
The Stewards interviewed Mr P.W. Mullins, rider of Limini, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr. P.W. Mullins was in breach of R(10)(4) by failing to give his mount time to respond to the whip. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended Mr. P.W. Mullins for 3 racedays
Mr C.J. Orr, rider of Le Vagabond (FR) trained by E. J. O'Grady, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right throughout this race.
