Leaving the stalls, Janaat (IRE), unplaced, jumped awkwardly and shifted right-handed resulting in Master Sully (GB), unplaced, being crowded for room but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the end of the back straight, involving the winner Therehegoes (GB), ridden by David Egan and Battle Point (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Oliver Searle.
Being a 7lb claiming apprentice, Searle was offered the opportunity to be accompanied but declined.
The interference was found to be accidental as Egan had been sufficiently clear when crossing over in front of Battle Point (IRE), before that runner had then taken a keen hold and improved back through to the inside of Therehegoes (GB), which prompted Searle to steady his mount when tightened for room against the rail.
An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final furlong, involving Ellie Piper (GB), unplaced, ridden by Kevin Stott and Battle Point (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Oliver Searle.
The interference was found to be accidental as Battle Point (IRE), lugged right-handed when Searle was switching his whip through to the left-hand, and he had taken appropriate steps very quickly to correct his mount, but still resulted in Ellie Piper (GB) being significantly hampered when tightened for room.
Following the race; the Veterinary Officer reported that Liberty Bay (GB), unplaced, had lost its right-hind shoe.
Ben Curtis reported that Reversion (IRE), placed fourth, was slowly away.
