The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Listenheretomejack, trained by Eoin Doyle, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be clinically abnormal with a bilateral nasal discharge post race
The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages of this race involving Stamp Your Feet, ridden by M.P. Walsh, placed second and Youngnedofthehill, ridden by Rachael Blackmore, placed first, where it appeared that interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. M. P. Walsh stated that he had suffered interference and he felt it had cost him a place. Rachael Blackmore stated that her mount went slightly left but she corrected it immediately. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge's placings and took no further action
The Stewards interviewed C.D. Timmons, rider of Gray Duke, concerning his use of the whip leaving the back straight of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who did not accept that he had used his whip unnecessarily. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that C. D. Timmons was in breach of Regulation 10.3.b, the unnecessary hitting of a horse after its chance of winning or being placed is clearly gone. Having considered C. D. Timmons record in this regard the Stewards suspended C
D. Timmons for two racedays.
