Inside the final furlong, Tadleel (GB), unplaced, shifted left-handed, at the same time as Boardman (GB), unplaced, hung right-handed, causing interference between the two runners, but after viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Kevin Stott reported that Boardman (GB), unplaced, hung right-handed throughout.
The winner Glasses Up (USA), appeared to show improved form, compared with its previous run at Pontefract on 10 June 2020 where the gelding finished tenth of twelve runners, beaten by 16 lengths.

Mike Smith explained that the gelding stripped fitter from its previous run following a break of 233 days.
His explanation was noted and Glasses Up (USA) was routine tested.
