Buckley bags sixth winner in six weeks
Garry Cribbin (agent) recommended Kieren to me and he came down to school him yesterday. He gave him a lovely ride and did exactly what I told him to do. it looked a lovely opportunity, he's a big gangly horse and it probably wouldn't be his track but I thought it was a winnable race. It's brilliant that he's got off the mark and he's not too bad. He's a horse that's going to stay a lot further. He'll get three miles down the line and today (2m2f) would have been as short as he wants. When he gets in tight he can be a little bit sloppy, but overall his jumping is plenty good enough and will get better with experience.

Ballinrobe success for Paidi's Passion
Christie completes Ballinrobe double
I targeted this meeting because of the two 2m6f races for Menindee and (earlier winner) Paidi's Passion as they're two staying mares. They both looked as if they might be beaten and then they stayed on again. I was delighted when I saw that the races were going to be on the outer loop, which was going to make it more of a staying track and they're two point-to-point mares who want three miles. They both had good runs last time out.
Western Dreaming with an expensive yearling
Jayne has a small outfit, only has a couple of horses so I'm delighted for her more than anything. I'm based down in Waterford with Henry De Bromhead at the moment, so I can drop over to Jayne when she needs me. That's her second winner and it was nice to get one over the line for her. his last couple of runs were good and I thought if I got him placed right, he probably would win. He missed the last but when I got stuck into him he really put his head down and galloped to the line.
Jacob rides winner on first Ballinrobe ride
he probably needs a little bit further but I thought Willie and Anthony (Bromley) placed him really well and it was a nice opportunity for him. He's a brilliant jumper. He was a little bit rushy into one down the back and at the last as well, but all in all when you need a good jump from him he delivers. Cape Gentleman was a little bit slow at a couple of jumps, and when that happened I was able to fill my lad up whenever I had the opportunity. I knew he was on my girths the whole way but I could sense that he wasn't travelling as well as I was.

Royal Creek collects for confident Kent
I love this filly and I told all my friends to back her. I bred her and she's done everything really easy the whole way. She had a good blow there and she'll come on a load from that run. the three horses I have in training were first, second and third here tonight but staffing is a huge issue for me so I've to work hard at it. I'm up at five every morning and I work through the day because I've a lot of horses in the stud farm as well. I've about 25 broodmares there.
