Raqisa (GB) caught itself when kicking out at the start, but having been checked by the Veterinary Surgeon the mare was deemed fit to race.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 2 furlongs out involving Raqisa (GB), placed second, ridden by Ryan Kavanagh and Rechercher (GB), unplaced, ridden by William Buick.
Being a 7lb claimer, Kavanagh was accompanied in the enquiry by the trainer of Raqisa (GB).
Kavanagh was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as when moving left-handed on Raqisa (GB) for a run, he was insufficiently clear of Rechercher (GB), causing it to be taken notably off its intended line.
Following the race, Dougie Costello reported that Kentucky Kingdom (IRE), unplaced, was never travelling and James Evans reported that the gelding was unsuited by the Good going on this occasion, which in his opinion was riding tacky.
