Codd makes hay on The Baler
We took him to the Brightwells sale at Cheltenham last November but he nearly choked and had colic. We brought him back then and I would have liked to get another run into him before this (finished 10th in the point-to-point bumper at Fairyhouse). He wants good ground and we'll probably keep him going over the summer. Hopefully he'll make into a nice horse next year. The owner, Ger Langan is a very popular fella and this is the first horse he's had. He lives in a neighbouring parish to me and he is very involved in football. He is a Johnstownbridge man, that's the only thing I'd hold against him!
Uncle Junior toughs it out as 6 of the 25 get home
Ruby was excellent once again. The drier ground has helped Uncle Junior and we'll probably think about the Kerry National now and he could go for the Galway Plate on the way. The third mare, Pomme Tiepy will probably be retired now as she is in foal to King's Theatre.

Hurricane Fly has the racing world buzzing
He is a professional little jumper and he is by far the best hurdler I've ever ridden. He is an incredible little horse. We were on home ground today and he was fantastic. What can I say . he was awesome. Thousand Stars might go to France as he seems to thrive on racing and he could go and run on the flat over the summer as well.
Kid Cassidy - a horse with a big future
He had a horrible experience at Newbury and he has always been a bit hectic in his head anyway. He was very lucky not to have died at Newbury. He was good today anyway and it was marvellous that there was another horse to take him along there. He is a horse with a big future. He is still a bit on the weak side but there is a lot to look forward to.
