Kid Cassidy put in an impressive display to land the Star Best For Racing Coverage Novice Hurdle at Punchestown under Tony McCoy.
Taken along by the front-running Celtic Folklore clear of the remainder, McCoy took over in the straight on the victorious Beneficial gelding and he positively bolted-up in the end by thirteen lengths.
Kid Cassidy was involved in the infamous electrocution incident at Newbury and his trainer Nicky Henderson said: "He had a horrible experience at Newbury and he has always been a bit hectic in his head anyway. He was very lucky not to have died at Newbury.
"He was good today anyway and it was marvellous that there was another horse to take him along there. He is a horse with a big future.
"He is still a bit on the weak side but there is a lot to look forward to."
