Catchy Lass takes career score to four
She just held on and it was good battle to the line. She's a game wee filly and she would battle all the way,. I was very happy. She was in good form the past few weeks. We'll put her in foal this year, that's if we don't lose her. She's getting a bit older now, she's nine years old. This will be her last season anyway. She's a game wee thing and if she puts that into her foals it would certainly help.
Linehan gets another good tune out of Mandarin
Denis seems to get on well with him. He's ridden him three times, been second on him and won on him twice,. Riding him that way seems to suit as he likes coming by a few. We'll probably give him a little break now and go hurdling for the summer. He's handicapped and had a couple of runs last year. We had intended to go hurdling for the summer last year but he had a travelling incident coming home from Naas one day. We'll give it a go this summer instead.
Sheehy strikes at 1st attempt on Radio
We changed tactics completely tonight, dropped him out and rode him dead,. I think he'll be a much better horse on grass with a little ease.
McAteer registers 2nd winner on a well-backed favourite
Sales bound Adaliya doubles her score
She did it well and she's still getting stronger. She's in the sales next week, in Goffs, and she'll probably go there. I'd say there is plenty of racing left in her. She enjoys her racing out in front and loves that surface, skips along. I'd say she's only getting stronger and better. Her attitude is good, she's a very sound filly and genuine. She's easy trained and doesn't take much work. It's seven weeks since she ran and I'd say she's after strengthening in that time and she'll probably strengthen again. She had decent form on the turf as well.
ROG gets winner on eve of Paris showdown
Lee deservedly gets the plaudits after winning on Jon
I'm thrilled. He's been ultra consistent up here and loves it,. I just thought maybe, on his first run back after a break, and over seven, that it was maybe a little on the short side for him. Billy gave him an unbelievable ride and timed the whole thing to perfection. I'm absolutely delighted. He probably struggled a little last year as a three-year-old against the older horses. They all seem to do that. We gave him a break and that fourth year makes a difference so we should have a good summer ahead with him. In fairness to the handicapper he dropped him 6lb at the end of the season which gave him a good chance too. Fingers crossed we'll get a few more out of him.
55/1 Dundalk double for Linehan
I thought the six would suit him. He's bred for the six as his half-sister Avon Breeze won six six furlong races in England,. We were dying to see what he would do over the six. We'll keep him over that. Denis said he really enjoyed it, loved it, and even took a bit of a fight near the end. Fair play to Denis, he's a brilliant rider and everything he's told he does.
