Sheehy strikes at 1st attempt on Radio A costly failure in recent times Texas Radio this evening came good at odds of 8/1 in the Meat Boutique Handicap at Dundalk. With a more patient approach taken with the five-year-old through this mile heat, John Feane's charge again arrived travelling well with his challenge. This time he saw it out best though, to defeat Military Hill and Rummaging by half a length and the same. It was half a length again then to Cresendo in fourth. This was a feather in the cap for winning rider, Danny Sheehy, his first time aboard the Kyllachy gelding, taking his career score to two from twenty six. "We changed tactics completely tonight, dropped him out and rode him dead," said Feane. "I think he'll be a much better horse on grass with a little ease." The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Tennesse Waltz, trained by David Marnane, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. C. Heavey, rider of Cresendo, trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his reins opened in the latter stages of this race. (GC & EM)
