The Starter reported that the following riders had not approached the tape at a walk or jig-jog: Mr Barry O'Neill, the rider of Court Master (IRE), placed fifth, Mr Robert James, the rider of Menindee (IRE), Mr Oran McGill, the rider of Bella Bliss (IRE), unplaced, Mr Harry Swan, the rider of Arctic Ambition (IRE), unplaced, Mr Finian Maguire, the rider of Innisfree Lad (IRE), unplaced, Miss Roisin Leech, the rider of Destiny Is All (IRE), unplaced, and Mr Dara McGill, the rider of Midnight Our Fred (IRE), placed second.
Being a 7lb claiming amateur Miss Leech was offered accompaniment but declined.
The riders and the Starters were interviewed and recordings of the incident were shown.
Mr O’Neill and Mr Swan were suspended for 2 days for misconduct at the Start, this being their second offences within the previous 12 months.
Mr James, Mr Oran McGill, Mr Maguire, Miss Leech and Mr Dara McGill were suspended for 1 days for misconduct at the Start.
Rounding the bend to go out onto the final circuit, it was noted that Bella Bliss (IRE), unplaced, became unbalanced and stumbled, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, the Veterinary Office reported that Almazhar Garde (FR), unplaced, lost a left-hind shoe; One True King (IRE), unplaced, lost a left-fore shoe; Bella Bliss (IRE), unplaced, lost a left- fore shoe; Destiny Is All (IRE), unplaced, lost right-hind shoe.
