Mark Crehan, the rider of Kybosh (IRE), drawn 13, had appeared not to keep straight from the stalls.
After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, the rider was suspended for 1 day.
An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after leaving the stalls involving Kybosh (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Mark Crehan, Longville Lilly (GB), unplaced, ridden by Laura Coughlan, Dark Devil (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Andrew Breslin and Is It Off (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Poppy Bridgwater.
Being a 7lb claimer, Coughlan was offered the opportunity to be accompanied in the enquiry, but declined.
Crehan was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he had allowed his horse to hang left-handed without sufficient correction, which resulted in Longville Lilly (GB) being crowded for several strides and in turn tighten up Dark Devil (IRE) which then bumped Is It Off (IRE) on the hindquarters causing it to become unbalanced.
Upon leaving the stalls, ARLECCHINO’s LEAP, placed fourth, jumped right-handed, bumping Is It Off (IRE), unplaced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of ARLECCHINO’S LEAP.
An enquiry was held to consider interference entering the first bend involving Ocean Air (FR), placed sixth, ridden by Paula Muir, Apache Blaze (GB), placed second, ridden by George Rooke, Is It Off (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Poppy Bridgwater and Kybosh (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Mark Crehan.
Crehan was suspended for 4 days for careless riding as he had allowed his horse to drift left-handed when insufficiently clear of Is It Off (IRE), which had to be steadied and was tightened onto Apache Blaze (GB) causing that runner to be carried left across Ocean Air (FR) forcing Muir to take a significant check on the rail.
Elisha Whittington, the rider of the winner, Pilot Wings (IRE), was suspended for 2 days for using her whip in the incorrect place on the run to the line.
Being a 7lb claimer, Whittington was accompanied in the enquiry by her trainer, Tony Carroll.
Follow the race, Toby Eley reported that King Oswald (USA), unplaced, was slowly away and Paula Muir reported that Ocean Air (FR), unplaced, was denied a clear run turning into the home bend.
The Veterinary Officer reported that Dark Devil (IRE), unplaced, sustained a wound to his right-hind.
