The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Crest Of A Wave, trained by Charles O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were also taken for analysis
The Stewards requested a report from T.J. O'Mara, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Amazing One (GB), placed first, as compared with its recent run. Mr. O'Mara reported that his charge was forced to race wide from a bad draw in his previous race, which he felt may have accounted for the poor run.
