We've been here since Wednesday night as the other horse had to do a stalls test. We had a runner at the Curragh a few weeks ago on Champions Weekend, that was our first runner over here, and he was third in one of the big handicaps. The Stewards enquired into an incident shortly after leaving stalls involving My Direction (GB), ridden by S.P
Davis, Red Avenger (USA), ridden by S.M. Mooney, Palace Guard, ridden by S.M. Crosse, Reckless Lad, ridden by D.P. Linehan, and Elusive Intrusive, ridden by Christina Simpson, where it appeared Elusive Intrusive ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. S.M. O'Donnell, representing S.M. Crosse's master, Joseph Patrick O'Brien. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found S.M. Crosse in breach of Rule 214 by riding carelessly and having taken his record into account suspended him for two race days
The Stewards interviewed G.P. Brouder, rider of Another Dazzler, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg.10.3.(b) by using his whip when his chance was clearly gone and having taken his record into account, cautioned the rider.
