The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident turning into the straight involving Irish Blaze, ridden by D.J Gilligan, placed fifth, Freddie Robdal, ridden by D.J. O'Keeffe, placed sixth, Knock On Steel, ridden by S.F
O'Keeffe, unplaced, and Berliet Express, ridden by S.D. Torrens, placed fourth, where it appeared Freddie Robdal and Knock On Steel ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D. J. O'Keeffe stated that things got a bit tight. D. J. Gilligan stated that his mount leaned in but he felt he had maintained his line. S. F
O'Keeffe stated that his race was run and he was going backwards when he took a precautionary check. S. D
Torrens stated that he moved out but felt he had room to do so. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted
