Deserved win for Dutch in Wexford opener
Donoghue doubles up on Griffin's Navigator Jack
The horse became available after his last run. Leonard stepped in and kept him in the yard, so I’m delighted. It’s my first winner for Leonard and he has another horse in the yard as well. It’s nice to get another win with him. He has been consistent this season without getting his head in front. Keith gave him a lovely ride and I don’t think the horse knew he was in a race until he appeared between the last two flights. He is what he is and has won two now. Hopefully there is another win over hurdles in him. Bellewstown would be Leonard’s home track and there is a race for him there at the end of the month, but he would be stepping up in grade. He is definitely better going left-handed. Last year he was being a bit of a monkey and wasn’t behaving himself well when going right-handed. He has been a model of consistency this season and we will probably go back right-handed with him at some stage. He seems to be very settled now.
Sarah Beara a facile winner for Curling & Enright
We thought she'd run well. She has improved with every run in maidens and this probably wasn't a great handicap. She is in again on Monday at Ballinrobe and we will declare her in the morning if she is alright.

Martin & Carberry strike with Royal Juniper
He is a fine big horse, but has just never got the hop of the ball, things haven't gone right for him,. There was always going to be a day like today in him if we were patient enough to wait for it. Fortunately enough it went right for him today. Donal (Houlihan) isn't here today but his whole family are, his wife, daughter, son-in-law and grandson are all here so it's brilliant. Hopefully he will progress from here.
Gleeson shines on Lattas' homebred bumper winner
Her dam won twice in Wexford and won three overall. She also got Grade 3 black type. This is the first foal out of her and while she is not a big mare, she is a lot bigger than the dam who was tiny. She was ready to run in May and we let her out because the ground went too quick. She is actually not that long back in and I thought she might need the run, but because it's so close to home we said we'd come here and maybe in three weeks time go to Ballinrobe for the four-year-old fillies bumper. She is after winning now so we might go for the mares winners' race in Down Royal or go straight to the Listed bumper at Gowran. If the ground is okay she will probably go to Down Royal before Gowran. My father (Charlie) bought the granddam (Party Woman) as a foal and she won three times before she chipped a bone in her knee. She produced Little Mitch then and it's a real fillies pedigree. We still have Little Mitch at home and hopefully there is a couple more to come along out of her.
