The rider was interviewed and shown recordings of the incident.
It was found that no other horse or rider was involved and that the incident was accidental and was caused by the gelding attempting to jump the course crossing at the 1 furlong marker.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Swilly Sunset (GB), placed seventh, lost its right fore shoe and that Marcel Debruxelles (FR), placed sixth, bled from the nose.
