Quotes on American Mike (IRE)
To be honest, he's probably one of the horses that makes me scratch my head more than any other. He keeps disappointing me and then he comes back with a good one again. He has obviously a big engine on his day, when he's right, but he's not easy to train. I thought Jack gave him a great ride. I don't know what I'm doing or where I'm going with him, he's a horse that baffles me. We've just tipped away with him steady at home and haven't over-worked him as he was very fit going to Christmas, but just didn't get home. He's in a few of the novice chases at Cheltenham and he could go for an Irish National. I don't know what I'm going to do with him to be honest. We'll enjoy today, he's won a graded race for Noel and Valerie (Moran, Bective Stud) at their local track, they are big supporters of Navan and the whole game. After American Mike (IRE) finished 1st at Navan on Sun, 11th Feb 2024 3m Novice Chase Heavy

Quotes on Lucid Dreams (IRE)
He’s a big, strong horse but has been too keen in graded races so we decided to go for a handicap and Andrew Shaw gave him the same mark as he has over hurdles. He was really gutsy to battle back. He can stay three miles but he has to learn to settle and we ran him back quick as racing will settle him. We’ll try and find something for him in the next three weeks or so. He shouldn’t go up too much for winning by half-a-length.After Lucid Dreams (IRE) finished 1st at Gowran Park on Sat, 11th Nov 2023 2m Hcap Chase Heavy

Quotes on The Big Chap (IRE)
It was a suitable race being for second-season novices and the ground was key,. We had aimed for a race at Killarney this summer but it turned up soft, although he still ran well. That is his trip as well. We'll go to the November meeting in Cheltenham with him for a 0-145 which I think he'll get into and I would also love to go to Aintree with him too. After The Big Chap (IRE) finished 1st at Limerick on Sun, 20th Oct 2024 2m 3f Hcap Chase Good

Quotes on Monbeg Park (IRE)
We had a fierce frustrating time with him last season. He had a really good run in Thurles but got a fright at Leopardstown and it took him a while to come back around. He is made for fences, he jumped very well today and JJ was always happy with him. I still think there is a big race in him, so we won't over race him. It's grand to get his head back in front and it's great to have a winner at the local track. We were just throwing everything at it today and I'd say the cheekpieces probably helped him to get his confidence back and he tuned in well. I think he won a bit snug so we are very happy with him and it wasn't a bad beginners for the time of year. He could go for a rated novice back here in a fortnight and if he qualifies for that we will let him run. The ground wouldn't want to be any quicker than it is today though. There is a novice handicap at Cheltenham in November and we will work back from that. After Monbeg Park (IRE) finished 1st at Wexford on Sat, 13th Jul 2024 2m 3f Chase Good

Quotes on Pinkerton (IRE)
He is a horse that gets 2m very well and it was a burst of speed I had never felt off him before. He is not overly big but he jumps slick and likes plenty cover. He did everything right the whole way round. He came out of last week's race great. I was a disappointed he didn't win a bit easier there as it was a very ordinary contest, he struggled a bit and was maybe in front a bit long. Today when he went to the front he wandered a bit going to the last. It's great for the owners to win here, he's been a super little horse for them. He's the first horse Philip (Polly) bought off me and that's the first time he's won for them. He's tough and the jockey is very good, he's very strong. He mightn't go on real quick ground, he wants an ease, but we'll carry on for the moment and see how we go.After Pinkerton (IRE) finished 1st at Punchestown on Thu, 2nd May 2024 2m Hcap Chase Yielding

Quotes on Zanahiyr (IRE)
I thought we were very beatable first run back and to be honest I wasn’t going to run him only there was a very small entry. Jack said he had a couple of blows and was delighted with him – he jumped well. He was entitled to do it on ratings, but it’s not always that easy. We thought we might get a soft lead but it was an honest gallop and Philip put the gun to our head the whole way. I’ll talk to Noel and Valerie (Moran, owners) to see what they think (about plans). There is a lot of prize-money to be picked up in conditions hurdles and he has no Grade One penalty, so he can step back into Grade Twos and Threes. I’d say you could see him in anything from two-mile-five back to two miles. You know he’s going to wear his heart on his sleeve and try his best for you. The way he jumps a hurdle you would say he would jump a fence, so I wouldn’t rule it out. After Zanahiyr (IRE) finished 1st at Punchestown on Tue, 10th Oct 2023 2m 2f Hurdle Yielding

Quotes on Hazelhatch Lady (IRE)
I'm delighted she's won. I was praying for the line to come, we had one yesterday and the line never came for us but we got away with it today,. On her day she's actually a good mare but she has her problems. Top-weight today was a little bit of a worry but on her home-work she's always been good. She could throw a spanner in the works the next day but that's just her. She's after winning a bumper, two hurdles and a chase so we'll see what she does after today. She was 115 or 116 over hurdles and he'll probably put her up to that over fences now so we'll see where we go. She's much better in a smaller field, that's obvious. In a smaller field when she gets her own way in front she's not too bad. Hopefully she can go on again. After Hazelhatch Lady (IRE) finished 1st at Galway on Tue, 8th Oct 2024 2m 2f Hcap Chase Good
