Sligo Tue, 11th Jun, 2024  I Am Spider Man the horses are in great form and luckily Philip was able to ride them today as, against my advice, he recently appealed against an eight-day (careless riding) suspension, but won. . this horse was brought to a standstill at Ballinrobe when a horse fell in front of him and Philip didn't abuse him afterwards. He said he was lucky to stand up at the second and it took him a while to find his stride but he was off a nice mark. He has the same mark over fences so that's another option.

Sligo Tue, 11th Jun, 2024  Kendancer these claimers are great because there is usually plenty of pace to aim at but obviously there was a pace collapse after three out. I'd have preferred a lead for longer but got there well and while he really tired after the last, got the job done. There wasn't a whole pile left at the line and he didn't win as easy as the last day.

Listowel Mon, 3rd Jun, 2024  Redwood Queen There is two types of ground and he kept her to the outside rail,. Philip had ridden in the earlier races and the previous winner also came up the outside as well. She is thriving, has found form and did it well today. We'll keep going as far as she goes and find something in three or four weeks.

Tramore Fri, 31st May, 2024  Redwood Queen They went a good gallop and she can be very free so he sat off them. She is progressive and is fierce genuine. She shouldn't go up much in the handicap for that and she'll keep going for the summer now, she needs good ground.

Limerick Thu, 30th May, 2024  Kendancer He was in for €10,000 at Clonmel the last day but wasn't competitive so we said we'd drop him (to €5,000). He'll probably be claimed now but he is poorly handicapped. He (Philip) said he was fierce guessy at his hurdles but we got the winner and the owners had a few quid on so we're all happy.

Limerick Thu, 23rd May, 2024  Reverend Hubert He had schooled very well, and the distance and the ground were a big thing for him. He is a fine horse and will keep going for the summer. He is better off jumping and likes to have fences in front of him. We'll look to Galway.
