Limerick Sun, 29th Dec, 2024  Whateys Quest (extra) distance made the difference as he was on his head the whole way at Naas the last day and couldn’t lie up. I had this race in mind for a while and it worked out. The ground is more testing and more dead today, and is similar to the ground he won on in Clonmel (in April). Everything was in his favour today and it is job done now. This is his level and he’ll mix it between hurdles and fences.

Limerick Sat, 28th Dec, 2024  I Started A Joke He did well in a schooling race in Tipperary a couple of weeks ago and we always thought he was a nice horse. Jack Bennett had done all the early work and point-to-pointed him, and then we got him. The point-to-point in which he finished fourth has worked out very well and there are a lot of winners from the race. He is a fine horse and is definitely one for the future. I'd say we'll stay in bumpers for now.

Navan Sun, 15th Dec, 2024  Brave Troop We're delighted. He settled much better today so he was able to ride him that bit closer and he picked up nicely. He jumped better today as well. He's jumping better and settling better and I think that's why he has improved. There might be something in Leopardstown for him. He might creep into the bottom of the two-miler there. Two miles on decent ground is important. He wouldn't want it any softer. It's dead enough there but he handled it fine.
