At the first hurdle, Sydney Blues (IRE), placed third, jumped sharply left-handed inconveniencing Bbob Alula (GB), unplaced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Sydney Blues (IRE).
At the second hurdle, Testflight (GB), unplaced, jumped sharply left-handed resulting in Regulator (IRE), which was pulled up, being shifted left-handed off its intended line, which in turn gave a bump to Duesenberg (IRE), placed fourth, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Approaching the fourth hurdle, Regulator (IRE), which was pulled up, slowed down markedly and in the process shifted left-handed, giving a severe bump to Time To Burn (IRE), which unseated its rider as a result, and ran across the path of Regulator (IRE) when running loose, hampering that horse, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Approaching the second last hurdle, Sydney Blues (IRE), placed third, shifted left-handed giving a bump to Turpin Gold (GB), placed second, which became unbalanced as a result, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Sydney Blues (IRE).
Following the race, Lucy Gardner reported that Testflight (GB), unplaced, ran green and the Veterinary Officer reported that OLLY’S FOLLY, unplaced, had bled from the nose.
