An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after the start when Golden Times (SWI), unplaced, ridden by Franny Norton, interfered with Slavonic Dance (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Charlie Bennett.
Norton was cautioned for careless riding for allowing his mount to drift left-handed towards the rail when insufficiently clear, causing Bennett to have to take a slight check.
The winner, Saracen Star (GB), appeared to show improved form compared with her previous run at Lingfield on 15 February 2020 where the filly finished sixth of seven beaten by 17 lengths.
J S Moore's explanation that Saracen Star (GB) had benefitted from the first-time application of cheekpieces was noted; the filly was routine tested.
Following the race, William Cox reported that Evaporust (IRE), placed fifth, hung left-handed in the home straight, and the Veterinary Officer reported that the gelding had lost his left-fore shoe.
Adrian McCarthy reported that Sea Bright (GB), placed eighth, hung left-handed in the final furlong,.
