said, "I have to thank Kevin Manning for minding him for me on Sunday. He came back in and

said that he hated the good ground and he told me to run him again whenever we got soft

ground. We will step him up in trip now and in time he will make a nice hurdler."

Dr Kildare kept going without matching the winner and connections can hold out hopes for him

in handicap company. Admiral Barry couldn't sustain his effort on this surface and he is

expensive to follow.

Foxcent, the favourite, was a little bit keen and not surprisingly faded towards the

business end. Hampstead Heath ran alright on his Irish debut.
