The winner, Thomas Percy (GB), appeared to show an improvement in form compared with its previous run at Lingfield on 4 August 2020, where the gelding finished seventh of thirteen, beaten 13½ lengths.
Heather Main’s representative explained that Thomas Percy (GB) appreciated the step up in trip to 1m 4f from 1m 2f.
The gelding was routine tested.
Following the race, Cam Hardie reported that Maldonado (FR), placed second, hung left and the Veterinary Officer reported that FILO’S FLYER (IRE), placed fourth, lost its right fore shoe and finished foot sore on the same leg.
