An enquiry was held to consider interference after the line involving Crunchie (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Bradley Furniss, Havergate Island (GB), placed third, ridden by Ben Sanderson, Pollinate (GB), placed second, ridden by Laura Coughlan and the winner, Monsieur Patat (GB), ridden by Oliver Stammers.
A BHA Jockey Coach accompanied the riders in the enquiry.
Stammers was suspended for 6 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift left-handed after crossing the finishing line, taking Pollinate (GB) off its intended line, which then caused the riders of Havergate Island (GB) and Crunchie (IRE) to take considerable checks against the rail.
Following the race, Mark Crehan reported that Purple Poppy (GB), unplaced, ran too freely.
