Ivan Furtado was fined £650 for doubly declaring Crazy Spin (GB) to run in the 'Follow Top Tipster Templegate At Sun Racing Novice Median Auction Stakes' at Southwell and the 'Ladbrokes Home Of The Odds Boost Apprentice Handicap Stakes' at Southwell, and the filly ran in the latter.
The Sampling Officer reported that Faye McManoman had been unable to provide a urine sample and now wished to leave the course so as to ride at another meeting.
McManoman and the Sampling Officer were interviewed.
The rider explained that due to having to do the same weight at Kempton this evening, she was unable to take any more fluid on board and, therefore, was unable to provide a sample despite repeated attempts.
Her explanation was noted and the Stewards granted her an exemption from providing a sample.
Permission was given for Copper And Five (GB) to go early to post.
Leaving the back straight, Copper And Five (GB), placed fourth, lugged left onto Oblate (GB), unplaced, which caused the filly to become unbalanced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Copper And Five (GB).
