The representative of David Pipe confirmed the report given by the rider that the gelding was never travelling on this occasion, adding that Only The Bold (IRE) may have been unsuited by the drop back in trip to 2 miles 4 furlongs on quicker ground conditions than he had been winning on recently.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities.
