An enquiry was held to consider interference rounding the home bend when the winner, Famoso (IRE), ridden by Stan Sheppard, interfered with Fast Buck (FR), placed third, ridden by Callum Pritchard, which in turn interfered with Force De Frap (FR), placed fourth, ridden by James Best.
Being a 7lb claiming conditional, Pritchard was offered the opportunity to be accompanied but declined.
Sheppard was suspended for 4 days for careless riding as he had shifted his mount left-handed off the rail when insufficiently clear of Fast Buck (FR), which was hampered when carried off its intended line, before slipping slightly and in turn made contact with and unbalanced Force De Frap (FR), which as a consequence slipped badly coming off the road crossing.
