He's a horse of very considerable ability but we've been finding it hard to get him to do it,. He decided today was his day. I'm happy enough to win irrespective of what the handicapper does - he might murder him after that. He hasn't won since 2008 but is rated 85 on the Flat.

He surprised me with the ease with which he won,. He took a hefty knock last time at Bellewstown and this race didn't look that simple. The slow pace suited as he got confidence in what he was doing. He may go to Galway for a handicap hurdle if he comes out of this ok. You wouldn't know what the handicapper would do after that.

He's been knocking on the door and has been unfortunate a couple of times - falling when running a big race,. The owners are from Aberdeen so that's why he has been racing over the water. They bought him off Jim Bolger. I've 30 horses for the track and the same for point-to-points and we've been more focusing across the water as I'm based in Larne and it's very convenient. I've some better horses now so I might start looking closer to home.

She was due that. The horse she was second to at Bellewstown (Fleur De Nuit) went on to win a Flat race by 13 lengths,. She'll go for a maiden hurdle on good ground. She stays well and might go two-and-a-half miles. After the maiden hurdle she'll have a break.

Desert flourishes late in last

I was expecting a big run and he has plenty of work done,. The owner has been very patient with him. He can be a bit excitable. He'll come on from that and could be better than a Downpatrick bumper winner. There are no immediate plans but he'll be out again soon.
