Dylan scores for Stack

I'm very happy for the owner (David Slater), who was also involved with Dylanbaru's mother (Nubar Lady). She was pretty smart but unfortunately this was her only foal before she died. Dylanbaru came on nicely from his first run and he'll head to Tipperary in a couple of weeks time for a winners of one.

Barrow finishes best in blanket finish

I thought Shane gave him a great ride . the horse used to be quite keen but is after settling really well. I ran him at Leopardstown and he was outpaced a bit but came home well. Tonight it was the same but the gaps came right for him and was genuine and got there. I might step him up in trip now - he looked like he should get further there.

Another winner for Wango!

you have to trust the judgement of the handicapper and he is never far wrong! I wasn't overly confident coming here and giving him a hard first first time out (this season). However we knew there was nothing for him for a few weeks so we could give him time to recover. I had the Brittannia Handicap (at Royal Ascot) in mind for him and he may run in a trial for that in the meantime. He is a lovely horse for David (Spratt) and I said last year that he could be a Listed horse and he owes us nothing at the minute.

Hawkswood causes second surprise of evening

Hawkswood had been disappointing me but I always thought a lot of him. A wind operation and a step up in trip seemed to do the job and if the handicapper isn't too hard on him he might win another one.

Aloof completes Lordan's double

Aloof is a nice filly - it was a step up in class from the last day but she did it well. She got the trip and we'll look for a Stakes race for her now.
