Twomey off the 'cold list', with his first runner! Featuring on top of the 'Cold List' before ever having a runner seems unfair but Cashel based trainer Paddy Twomey wasted no time removing his name from that list with a 28/1 winner on his first runner, courtesy of Hunting Goddess's win in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden at Dundalk this evening. Ridden by Bill Lee, the once raced daughter of Galileo moved to the front over a furlong out before staying on gamely for a length and a quarter win over Opa Loca. Afterwards Twomey (based in Athassel House Stud in Golden and known in the breeze-up and pin-hooking business) joked “I saw this morning on the paper that I was top of the cold list, so was determined to get off it! “I received my license last Tuesday and Hunting Goddess is my first runner - I'm delighted to get a winner. Hunting Goddess is the only horse I have in training and she was a little green today. I don't know where we'll go next, today was the plan.”
