Permission was given for George Dryden (IRE) to wear a hood in the Parade Ring only.
King Crimson (GB), drawn 2, anticipated the start and accelerated the gate at the same moment as the race had been started, thereby enabling the gelding to break quickly.
Being satisfied that it was not caused through a faulty action of the starting stalls, no further action was taken.
Leaving the stalls, Arzaak (IRE), which later unseated its rider, jumped right onto Han Solo Berger (IRE), placed second, which in turn interfered with the winner, Dr Doro (IRE), but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Nicola Currie, the rider of Arzaak (IRE), was unseated approaching the final furlong.
George Wood, the rider of Han Solo Berger (IRE), and Rossa Ryan, the rider of Lalania (GB), were interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, but Currie was unable to be interviewed owing to her injuries.
It was found that no other horse or rider was involved and that the incident was accidental in that a weakening Arzaak (IRE) was dropping back in a tightly packed field and in so doing, clipped the heels of Han Solo Berger (IRE) and unseated Currie.
