The representative of Richard Hannon explained that he had insufficient time to saddle his mount between the rider weighing out and the signal to mount being given.
This resulted in Mr Stanley (IRE) being unable to enter the parade ring as the field was exiting the chute.
The representative of Richard Hannon was advised to in future communicate better with his riders to ensure sufficient time when weighing out, to allow for their runners to be saddled in the yard.
Leaving the stalls, Alezan (GB), unplaced, stumbled and nearly unseated its rider, Harry Davies, who lost his right stirrup which he was unable to regain for the remainder of the race and therefore unable to assist his mount.
