An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 2 furlongs after the start between VOICE OF A LEADER (IRE), placed sixth, ridden by Miss C. Banham and MAJESTE, unplaced, ridden by Mr Patrick Millman. Millman was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to shift left towards the rail when insufficiently clear, causing Miss C. Banham to take a check on VOICE OF A LEADER (IRE)
An enquiry was held into the reason for the non-attendance of Mr Zac Baker, the rider of MOLTEN LAVA (IRE), as Baker had been selected for sampling. Evidence was heard from the trainer, Steve Gollings, the Clerk of the Scales, the Sampling Officer and the rider's Valet. It was noted that the Clerk of the Scales had been informed by Steve Gollings' representative that Zac Baker had been unable to ride due to a schooling accident. The matter was forwarded to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority for further consideration.
