The Stewards interviewed Mr H.E. Sexton, rider of Storm Barra, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of Regulation 10. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that Mr. H.E. Sexton was in breach of R10.3(b)(out of contention), R10.3(g)(frequency) and R10.3(i)(time to respond) and having considered his record they suspended him for 21 racedays and ordered that he attended R.A.C.E. for tuition on the correct use of the whip
The Stewards enquired into the conduct of Mr. H.E. Sexton, rider of Storm Barra, and Mr. Adrian Sexton, trainer, prior to the running of this race. Evidence was heard from Mr. H.E. Sexton who stated that his mount was reluctant to go to the start and he was making every effort to encourage his mount. Evidence was also heard from Mr

Having considered all the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanations of Mr. Adrian Sexton, however they were satisfied that Mr H.E.
